Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
CEO I agree. I would expect an RNS immediately on signature of the GSA. It may be close but I don't think it's done yet.
It would be great to have it signed by the AGM. But I think it unlikely.
Auctus are assuming is will be a $12mmcf

Mole - agreed "AJ the problem with your comment is the the drop is not to do with the drilling."
My point was simply that "taking losses while drilling" is not in itself an RNSable event. They told us in a general update. The same is true of the water saliniaty issue that they are working on.
The drop is overdone imho. I have bought more.
Some people here seem to want Andy H to tell them when he breaks wind.
Call him. Email him. He is a thoroughly decent transparent chap.
"They are obliged to update on such matters that can impact sp but regularly ignore such requirements. "
Yes but losses while drilling do not constitute such matters. They don't affect the company performance nor logically the SP. Except when short-termist numpties over react to any news that is not super positive. Hence no need to advise market at in real time.
"Even more concerning potentially is the fluid loss at Southwark as that can damage the reservoir itself the longer it goes on, so we should be told when this issue first began."
Operators do not traditaionally update the market on operational drilling matters. Wells often take small kicks and losses which do not have long term consequences.
Do you have your own agenda in making a fuss about this ? Looking to pick up some more cheaply. i certainly will if it drops below 25.
Thanks for the buying opportunity !
I am also in ECO. But they are a very different proposition to CHAR; much higher risk and more like CHAR was 10 years ago.
That's why I have 10 times as much invested in CHAR compared with my investment in ECO.
I had 10 minutes spare so I checked the website.

Larry, Mark and Mathew are all gone. Not sure what if any of these shares vested
"However those on heee that do not seem to mind have probably been invested for less than a year!"
Maybe true of some Growler - but I bought my first tranche in June 2011 @ £1.52. My average today is 18p.
Perhaps I had a better understanding of the risk, in those elephant hunting days, than you did. That comes of now being in my 5th decade in the industry.
The risks today are very different and much lower magnitude.
I think some chill pills are required.
"The freebie options are unnecessary at this time. They could have issued further down the line once strategic objectives had been accomplished."
The freebie options are part of their contractual compensation package. Timing will be as defined in the package.
You will have to wait until only 8th Sept for a major update. Relax, enjoy the summer and perhaps like me trade the 18p-20p range and bring your average down.
Life is good. Char will make it better if you are patient. IMHO
Growler,
You may be correct that they awarded themselves options after the duster at Nimrod. I don't recall, and beimg frank I don't much care. Nimrod was a wildcat exploration well (as was Tapir). Other than not finding oil they did a great job. I don't underestimate the impact of not making a discovery ( I too suffered) but too many people on this board have no idea what is really invoved in opening up a new basin.
In the doldrums of 2 + years ago my holding was deep underwater. I am now ahead. If I had been braver and averaged down at 2p, or 7p I would be laughing now. As it stands a 5 bagger from here sets me up for a very comfy retirement. 10X would be a dream come true.
If Char leaders achive 5 or 10X from here I don't care how much they profit. They will have my eternal gratitude.
"Even the CPR took 6 months which must be some kind of record for tardiness of report production. "
Great to know we have a "Competente Person" expert in our midst.
Any other aspect of field development you can advise on drice ?
KnC,
I am pretty sure we will farm-down our interest. But i'd would not expect us to cede operatorship. So it's most likely going to be a smaller player. My money is on SQZ or GENL. Or perhaps CEPSA, but not TE, BP, ENI, Repsol etc....
Just mho
Bob - "If anyone can clutch defeat from the jaws of victory Char can"
The "old" Char was a very high risk - very high reward opportunity. Most were not lucky. But some rode it 15X and exited (not me btw)
The "new" Char is a medium low risk - high reward opportunity. I think 3X from here within the atx year would satisfy most.
Just listened to the GENL investor call. Swimming in cash (~$0.5B). Looking for M&A opps - onshore/offshore.
Genel have Morocco experience. What do you think tehy would ahve to pay for a 20% stake in Anchois/Lixus/Rissana ?
