Be a nice surprise if it is, more likely covid related. Abingdon and deepverge up this afternoon similar time..
Found this debate very interesting, a good insight into how people are thinking. Can see how decisive it seems the vaccine debate is just by spending 10min reading today's conflicting thoughts from respected posters.
My two pence worth, the government had success on the vaccine roll out (which it had very little to do with early on) and pretty much everything else failed miserably. So has leaned on that far heavier than it should.
Coming from aircraft industry, familiar with the Swiss cheese model.... basically using many defenses to prevent the undesirable outcome.
Our governments model is just keep vaccinating everyone multiple times over an over. . Which as pointed out doesn't stop spread merely reduces the impact of the ones vax'd.
Ignoring testing (above and underground), treatments, social bubbles, improved ventilation in schools etc..the list goes on where that money could be spent. Instead we basically give Pfizer £20 profit a shot an strong arm people into it...all just sits a bit uneasy with me. (Whilst they refuse to share the "recipe" so lesser off counties can benefit...or deliver at cost like moderna - not to mention the fact they aren't liable. Profit and liability, or minimal profit and spread the IP with zero risk - surely can't have best of both?!)
For those thinking I'm antivax, I'm double jabbed. Went when my age group was called in the summer. I've had reasonably significant side effects from it, not talking the standard sick for 24-48hrs. More like muscular pain inflammation in my back leading to other issues....still not 100% but on the mend.
I tell you this simply to ask, because the gov have essentially backed one horse, is it fair that I have a choice between having rights taken away from me or taking another jab that will likely make me ill for months?
I don't think so...and it's why I'm in avacta patiently waiting for people to realise the only way to "win" is to have a host of options to defend and attack!
@jackestar
I thought it was something else... actually saw it as a positive
I thought they did that towards end to try to knock out a few stop losses/have some extra shares in their hands for the morning... meaning they think positive news is reasonably likely so they can sell at a premium..if not then no harm just drop price a couple of pence as you described
Great to see some the BB feeling a bit more positive recently
Quick one to the more knowledge posters. MM states 2m pm @£1 per test profit to become cashflow positive....
If I remember right the deal with Medusa wasn't the same as abdx etc...i think it was a profit share?? Which would be significantly more lucrative
Can anyone confirm, and if so what does that do to the potential profit per test and subsequent valuations? Any thoughts appreciated
I've also just "topped up" @121p. Modest amount but we've been waiting long enough...maybe this is the real deal.
Its got to be Southgate for PM if it has to be one of them... I bet he already knows big Al from his favourite eating establishment.
"Glitzy nightclubs are not Gareth Southgate’s style. He much prefers family gatherings at Bettys Cafe Tea Rooms in Harrogate.
A favourite is its £4.25 Yorkshire Fat Rascal Scone – or a visit with wife Alison, daughter Mia, 19, and son *****, 15, to their local fish and chip shop, the Wetherby Whaler."

CAR make the plastic sub components that the manufacturers will use in their assembly lines
Rumours that they have been stockpiling/running machines around the clock - probably why share price has risen so much last few months.
My point being if the rumours are true, they know the size of demand etc...then how are they allowed to buy?
Unless there is no ROFR or NDA etc
Just wondering if anyone else had any opinions on it all
How does that work?
Surely we are in NDA/ROFR period with government and or major contracts? And they would be privy to predicted volumes etc being a secondary supplier
I'd say this potentially bodes very well for avct
From memory that handc0ck video was from 6th may?
Think it would have leaked by now if it was by accident... probably got told to hold off publishing for a period of time
Always good to give the new guy a positive start in politics...what better start than announcing a UK test that's a game changer?!
Not that far fetched... could it finally be "this week"?
Explains why I couldn't find the figures easier....
Wow. Awful.
Thanks
Evening...
Apologies for this "deramp" however I've stumbled across this test (admittedly came out 3 months ago in the news) wondering if anyone knows the S&S figures? Or how much of threat it could be to the avct LFD

So there's nothing political in it....to do with keeping the borders open to India way too long trying to squeeze a trade deal in?
Hi apologies if already answered....
Does anyone have any insight as to why these parliamentary questions have not been answered in the time stated?
I was expecting some generic response, but no response? Something to read into?

@wiggly....
Ref JV, would timeframes be able to jv with a US firm to make a rebranded LFD? Or are we talking months+
Sat here wondering if there's any benefit to setting up a diagnostics JV, over white labelling a test. Perhaps politically there could be?!
Isn't Boris due to roll out the next stage of his master plan tonight?
Wouldn't be surprised to see it leaked to the press mid afternoon, hopefully seeing us turn blue
Good post Star...
Think number 9 is a tad optimistic but I'm agreeing with the intent.
Once they drill cerp assets whether they are making 15m a year or 5m a year or less it doesn't matter as much. Once Percy is drilled they own the license for years and years (think it's 20+ from memory)....so it gives them time! They can build again, save or rbl or both...then go for the big one again without farm in if they have to
Obviously not ideal from a shareholder point of view but certainly far better than being diluted to Oblivion on a potential duster.
Agree ivans.
I bought in for the first time earlier in the week at a slightly higher price. Small position but I like what I am reading. Should be an interesting couple of weeks coming up. Comfortable holding and waiting
How much is a reasonable mcap on spud?
Simple maths
1b barrel target X 30% CoS....value of P1 reserves in ground? £1?
250-300m mcap isn't that crazy surely
Well put.
I had similar thoughts/hopes.
It feels like this, with cash in the bank and the Stena deal - it's a middle finger to any paltry farm out/in deal.
So majors have to cough up or miss out.
Interesting stuff.
I've read up on the macro stuff, drill targets, depth, prospects across the licences etc.
Hadn't really considered it being used as a pawn in this way on a global scale....but it's that big a potential find
It's the size of that find that lured me in to putting my hard earned in, just want to know what's down there now.
