Agreed, we went from 39p to 85p in two weeks off the back of the ABB partnership. The increases to announced orders should dwarf those gains. Staying positive with a nervous grin.
Ah, maybe that was it, a payment after each successful event. Cheers Tetrolite
I dont remember the full details of the original deal, but im sure I read somewhere that we get a payment on the successful completion of the 1st series. Does anyone remember how much it was?

With a cool £165M left to spend, theres plenty left to make a multi-system order during/after this weekend!
Yes Southerhay, my thread title is a little misleading. I think it's very promising indeed
What I forgot to add was he works for ABB, under the experience heading it says, General Manager, Marine & Ports UK/Ireland. Still sounds promising to me
So I was just looking back through the comments on the AFC announcement in regards to Zerocoaster on LinkedIn and noticed a comment by Philip Lawson (Sales & Operations Leader - maritime). He started off with the usual congratulations Adam Bind and AFC, but he ended up with, "looking forward to delivering some local projects to the UK waters with AFC"
I wonder what this could be!
Good point jgbb123, it's not presented until 9:30pm. Ots a bit late for me, maybe DW could let us know the results, are you still in NY DW?

The winner is announced tomorrow. Good luck AFC
That's a great Ade, maybe i'll post on the EUA board when AFC goes up 5% too. Do you think everyone on there will care about me and congratulate me and say what a good boy I am?
wrong board Ade, this is AFC
I agree S'hay, I think this RNS was announced first to tee us up for the next RNS which in my opinion will be the sale of the L, potentially for a 12-24month lease deal whilst they develop the S. I think they're more than happy with the L hence the pre order of the S.
Taken from earlier RNS in regards to the ABB charger integration - "The system that has arrived today highlights AFC Energy's existing HydroX-Cell(L) series of fuel cell systems, but plans are already in train for the incorporation of AFC's higher power dense "S" series of fuel cells in future iterations"
So here's my take on it - Were ABB that impressed from the L-Series that they've gone ahead and ordered the S-Series off the back of the data they gathered during the integration exercise? Was todays RNS just a very strategic RNS announcement because if they announced the "Expected RNS" in regards to orders of the L-Series first, then this announcement wouldn't have made as much of an impact. Now people will argue it hasnt anyway, but AFC wouldnt have know that at the time.

MACE CEO Mark Reynolds mentions us briefly in Mace’s carbon reduction strategy, targets and a green future for the construction industry, on Radio 5 Live.
32:40m if you want to skip the rest, but in summary he does say they have eradicated diesel generators on 80% of their sites and they are partnered with a company to supply fuel cells but they are expensive and so is the fuel.
DW just so i understand this right, you're saying if we had 50 qualified enquiries leading to 50 sales from 50 separate start-up companies who were only just getting on their feet you wouldnt be happy?
Have you maybe considered that announcing this RNS now will generate mainstream media attention and whilst the eyes of the word are looking/learning about AFC THEN we drop our decent RNS updates?
I did wonder if Adam was invited to COP26 to showcase the tech after the comments he made about the lack of EV charging at the event? Absolutely fantastic response by AFC if it is. Well played.
Coldfishpie, a friend of mine is a financial advisor, specialising in pensions, and he would ADVISE the same, but that doesnt stop him from doing it. He's heavily invested in AFC too.
Forgive me if I'm wrong Ade, but dont "investors" typically HOLD their investments. Traders on the other hand...well, you know the rest

I've seen today on LinkedIn that Wrightbus are 1 of 12 companies attending the Global Investment summit to showcase their Hydrogen powered bus using ballard fuel cell to showcase the best of green innovation in the UK to attract high profile investors ahead of Cop26.
Fingers crossed that AFC have been invited too! I see that the department of international trade are in attendance, who knows?
