Was looking at Namibia yesterday Dicko80, nice presentation

Informative Seismic Migration Mapping and Fetch Area Volumetrics, for block 96, Namibia. Large prospects.

Duncan Rushworth certainly comes across as a fluent and very knowledgeable guy.

I would imagine that depends on who is most in need of gas (Morocco at this moment in time), and hence sdx are talking about importing gas via the Maghreb-Europe pipeline.

But depending on the well testing results here (prd), all that could well change, with any excess Moroccan gas exported via the same pipeline to Europe.

Don't forget Europe is still consuming Russian gas, which they are trying to reduce, due to the war in Ukraine

CGG Services SAS (CGG) is proposing to undertake a speculative 3D seismic survey off the Southeast Coast of South Africa. The survey area of interest is located roughly between Gqeberha in the east and a point approximately 120 km southeast of Plettenberg Bay in the west. The survey area is located between 45 km and 120 km from the coast at its closest point and in water depths of between 200 m and beyond 4 000 m. SLR has been appointed by CGG to undertake the required Basic Assessment process as part of an Application for Environmental Authorisation."

Thanks again for your explanation in layman's language regarding the Namibian prospect, both past and present, excellent work.

So with:

Seismic direct hydrocarbon indicators (DHIs),

Oil seep's.

Gas clouds.

Basin modelling appears to show large volume of oil migration.

All looking very positive, but with the caution will need to drill to prove.

Njonji-3 drill has a 90% chance of commercial success rating from Oilfield International Limited (OIL) consultancy, as per document below (good to see it in print):

“Initial Development Plans

Phase 1

Tower plans to drill four wells from a single location into the Njonji-1, 2 and South Fault Blocks in 2020-2021, with the first, Njonji Marine #3 on Njonji 1 Fault Block, scheduled to spud in June 2020. In our view there is a 90% chance that this well will be commercially successful. One well into the Njoni South Block will be deepened to explore for oil in the PS3 reservoir, a potentially major upside that could influence the development plan and immediately reclassify some Prospective Resources as Reserves, subject to meeting the usual criteria at that time.”

Great post's Dicko80, I for one am very appreciative of your very informative postings (relative newcomer here), which helps greatly in my understanding of the various prospect's.

As an aside, I have noticed that there is a great deal of frustration on these TRP related forums, which it seems to me like only a rig signing (or similar?) and henceforth a substantial rise in the share price would go a long way in helping people's frustration here.

Hope all comes good for all involved here...

Importantly, Total’s 2019 and 2020 wells at Brulpadda and Luiperd respectively have successfully tested the Lower Cretaceous turbidite fan play of the Outeniqua basin slope, which has been interpreted by the Operator to extend along strike into the southern part of the Algoa-Gamtoos block.

Further 3D seismic-led exploration is now planned, to map more accurately the most promising defined leads and make them ready for drilling.

A farm-out process has commenced to seek a partner for a material share of the licence working interest in return for funding the 3D seismic survey planned for the most prospective parts of the licence, and this process is being managed by ENVOI Limited.

My interpretation:

Looks to me like the 3D seismic will cover the SLOPE LEAD in the south west of the Algoa-Gamtoos block (as per the graphic in the above web link), which is in itself interpreted to be along the strike from Total's successful Lower Cretaceous turbidite fan play of the Outeniqua basin slope.

Passiton, I had noticed that the total shares in issue plus outstanding warrants is rather a lot, at not far of 10b at present (or confetti as you called it).

Well let's just hope for you guys (also myself included), that JA can pull it off with the rig. Hopefully that would make the waiting worthwhile for most of you PI's...

I can understand the frustration here (I'm still waiting for PRD get started on its gas well testing, with many a broken promise), especially with the waiting for the signing of a rig for the Thali drill.

Thinking aloud,

Surely JA is as determined as ever to get this rig signed now, if only to ensure the company does not loose the licence to the Thali block, nevermind the company maker factor should the signing be achieved.

Well that's my take on the present situation... rightly or wrongly, preferably the former.
