Stock market data is gathered from numerous feeds. Exchanges send out their data, so ultimately the sources are the same. Companies like LSEast and ADVFN get their data from Data Suppliers, and in my experience they are only as good or bad as the supplier they use. As a consequence when a source is compromised everyone is affected. You pays your money etc !!

It can potentially save a lot of money especially in HF markets when buying or selling as you have an edge,... that is assuming that it's used correctly, and watch it religiously. My subscription has been repaid many times over the years.

If you want accurate information you need to get paid Level 2, as this has not moved up or down in the last few days, totally flat line. No point in winding yourself up unnecessarily.

The Placing price is not relative to anything if you didn't take part. The SP is what it is, and if you buy and it goes up you will make, if it doesn't you won't. I'd like to have your quandary !!

You are correct if it goes up you will make a few bob, if it goes down you will lose a few bob. Nothing changes. The fist in profit will be those that can find the bottom assuming that it rises thereafter of course.

I've been adding for years, chasing it down hill and even added another £1k in the last weeks, and had a good average until the bods cunning stunt !!
