Edenville’s have worked very hard for ten years, and are believed to be unique in Tanzania being an independent foreign miner with an in-profit fully licensed coal mine and a proven 173mt of coal. It has taken 10’s of millions of pounds to get to this point, so the short answer imo is no not even close, everything considered. (the $455m Interconnector, export contacts, African power pool, local power AND the coal!,..etc etc)..
We know the company said they would consider an offer when discussed at an AGM in around 2014, but they said they’d had no offers, but much has change in those years.
I’m not sure hostile takeovers happen often at this level (but I don’t really know). I’d guess if anybody with deep enough pockets wanted to accumulate enough shares anything is possible, but far easier and quicker to make a sensible realistic offer you’d think..
