Incidentally, title to 55m of of our shares has been ceded to EFH. This represents 27% of DGR's total holding.

Have released their half-year report and it won't be comforting for their shareholders.

However, the accounts have been given Going Concern status, which is due almost entirely to their ability to sell the unencumbered shares in SOLG.

The EGM on 2nd April is absolutely critical for them and should they fail to get the various motions passed, they may be forced to sell some of their SOLG holding. Having said that, the chances are very much in favour of them succeeding, no matter how uncomfortable it will be for their shareholders. If they fail, it won't do us many favours either.

RT, well I'm totally confused because Caldwell's response was unequivocal and it was repeated on at least one other occasion. I've also read that RNS and I'm not sure it says what you think, but it is very confusing.

They are simply ordinary shares with all attendant rights attached. They had votes when they were owned by CGP, so by what mechanism did they lose those rights?

RT, when SC was asked the question he confirmed they had full voting rights.

DBW, actually they did carry votes, so they have proved useful at the past two agms.

Bozi, possibly because they were not happy with the rate of progress, for which they may have held Caldwell responsible. FN may have also felt the same way.

Of course, this is only speculation on my part, but I'm sure the timing of both announcements wasn't coincidental.

Although the transaction was announced by Vujcic, it's quite likely the conversations had been going on for some while. If we work on the assumption that we needed the extra cash to get us to stage two of the FN funding, this wouldn't have been news to our Board. Monthly projected cash flows would have shown it quite clearly.

As for making no sense, it's quite difficult to reach any other conclusion, unless SC had had enough and instigated the move himself.

Orthern, I thought your post yesterday was probably the most accurate description of events and feel the same way about your post this morning.

Yesterday I suggested the new investment may have been conditional upon the appointment of a new chairman and the demotion of SC, and although there's no evidence to support my view, the timing of both announcements adds some credibility. FN will have had to approve this move, in fact they may have been co-instigators.

I'm delighted the Chinese have bought as they clearly have faith in the project, but I'm fully aware there were reasons for last week's developments, and they weren't positive.

Vujcic told us he will speed things up, although we have no idea how he plans to do so. It's incumbent on him to explain these plans to shareholders.

So a bunch of professional mining investors were happy to pay 11.5p, which they must have believed is a bargain, and yet that mystical entity called 'the market' thinks we're worth no more than 7.8p.

I understand today's sellers will be small private investors, but what is on earth is going through their minds? Nowt so queer as folk.
