One observation; if you were worried about time to production, it seems GGP will be a lot quicker than SOLG...assuming we end up going down that path. Additionally, it seems even more obvious that New will not wish to have a minority partner at Haveiron and will certainly buy GGP out. Just my thoughts and it's what keeps me invested in both.

The easiest thing to do is to log onto the Stock Exchange web site at 7am. Not only will you see the announcements at the same time as the market, but I find it really useful to see announcements from companies I'm not invested in. This give a good overview of other opportunities/looming disasters.

Colonel, we've previously been told that the main thing we should see in MRE3 is the conversion of inferred resources into indicated. I'm assuming this will be the final resource estimate before the DFS and will form the basis upon which all funding discussions take place. Therefore, I'm guessing the delay has been caused by the need to ensure the company screws the last ounce out of the indicated resource estimate. In other words, I'm not sure this delay is virus related.

Having seen Newcrest's announcement today (stunning news for us who hold GGP as well), I very much doubt they will be in a position to bid. In fact, they are looking ever more vulnerable to a takeover.
I maintain my view that BHP will do the deal, regardless of NM's ambitions. Mind you, I'm absolutely delighted with this very detailed response to so many outstanding questions.

Dj, yes, that's the ambition. It implies a placing priced at a significant premium to today's valuation. Bear in mind, the company has to persuade investors that they need to pay this price.

Every shareholder, regardless of size of holding has the full right to express their opinions about a company in which they are part owners. That is the legal position of owning shares...although I understand full well you subscribe to the ostrich/mushroom approach to ownership.

It was most certainly the implication of your post and others you've made.
MRE3 has not suffered a delay of a few "short weeks", it's getting on for three months. And this is far from being the first time shareholders have been left in the dark. And if you can't see the correlation between these delays and the share price, then I'm afraid you have a problem. And no, I'm not a trader, I'm simply a shareholder who prefers to see management being open with the owners of the business.

So, Eliza said things are "swimming along beautifully" and I think someone wrote that she'd also claimed they weren't concerned about the share price, which is interesting, given that NM has described it as being "worryingly low".
Perhaps instead of flippant remarks, she should address the issue of why they haven't offered any explanation for the various delays.
Clearly, the virus has had a significant impact, but the rot was well and truly rooted before it emerged. The company needs to explain why the delays have occurred and then offer a realistic and deliverable timetable of future events. Failure to do so is very poor management.
