Block SK334 – more than just a billion barrel beast

Around $30,000,000 has been spent on analysing and developing the huge Block SK334; including:

🔹600sq km of seismic shoot.

🔹6685sq km FTG & gravity analysis.

🔹Field work study, G&G and Petrel reservoir modelling.

This company making asset is considered to be unique:

🔹Low cost, low risk, high impact.

🔹Estimates suggest significant hydrocarbon resources comparable to neighbouring billion-barrel Seria field.

🔹Potential for Hydrocarbon bearing reservoir at several stratigraphic levels.

🔹Data maps 3 closed structures at multiple horizons.

Upland plan a “drilling campaign” in 2024 and, through their Joint Technical Studies earlier this year, the company announced that they expect SK334 to hold a similar amount of oil to surrounding fields, including the neighbouring billion-barrel Seria field.

In fact, recent company release show preliminary volumetric resource estimates exceeding expectations, with clear signs of hydrocarbons present.

It will be interesting to see what comes of the meeting at the end of November. We know:

✅️ Proposal for SK334 PSC submitted & received positively.

✅️ Executive & Board meeting PETROS in Sarawak in late Nov.

✅️ Advanced stage technical due diligence for drilling campaigns done.

Really does feel like this is company making times.

Worth remembering why Sarawak is so important:

**50% of Malaysia's, & 10% of Asia Pacific's, natural gas reserves.

We've had the hints ("new revenue" / "early commercialisation of onshore" etc) ...... but remember the key:

* Upland was set up for this sole purpose.

* Bol worked for Shell Malaysia and also the Sarawak Legislate for many years.

* You cannot "buy" these kind of contacts and links.

* Sarawak For Sarawakians....

Direction of travel certainly seems more positive with Timor pushing for getting the gas flowing (hopefully, with Chuditch at the front of the queue!)
