Why has there been a delay in starting cohort 5 of the AVA6000 trial? Lack of clarity about this, even whether the cohort has started, is causing uncertainty and doubt amongst investors. What are you waited for?

Question 3
The AVA6000 side effects seem to be often linked to the GI tract (nausea, vomiting, appetite, constipation, diarrhoea). Is anything known (generally) about why particular people get particular side effects whilst other people don't get them? Everyone has rhythms to their body's metabolism throughout the day. Could the GI tract ones be related to time of day when AVA6000 was administered and/or to proximity to before or after taking meals/nutrients?

What progress has been made on developing invitro diagnostics using Affimers?

What is the Diagnostics Division's M&A strategy?
Acquisition of new tech? Device development? Manufacturing? Wider geographical coverage for distribution?

Hmm... Frustrating for you perhaps to be in the dark but perhaps rather rash, foolhardy or even stupid for Alan to announce every intent before the outcome is known. Just take a moment to consider how the market would regard and judge a CEO who's full of talk but fails to deliver. If you were Avacta's CEO would you be telling the world what you intended to do and run that risk of failing? I don't think Alan is being overcautious after previous 'missteps', just sensible.

YOU have decided that FT/AA is in the pipeline and then you accuse Alan of not just not confirming your conclusion but also 'refusing' to talk about it (something in the pipeline, an egg rather than a chicken) when no one has actually raised the topic with him. And you already have 5 recs. I've come across this intuitively 'knowledgeable' thinking before. Are you all women?

Who knows. It's about promoting Avacta and the platform as much as about any individual prodrug candidate.

VK, if you are serious, then I'm sorry about your late wife. We've just about all of us suffered loss of family and friends to cancer. But if you are serious about Avacta then you need to educate yourself by doing your own research about the AVA6000 trial and the rest of what Avacta has.

And there are two reasons for that: so that the patients are anthracycline-naive; and the Phase 1a part of the trial is about safety, tolerabilty, PK and PD, not about shrinking the metastatic tumours or end-of-life patients.

Massive amounts of doxorubicin administered without the usual terrible side effects might be a news story of hope but would it be statistically significant? I mean, on up to 12 terminally ill patients. Different if at least one of them manages to pull through but I think Avacta will prefer to wait until into Phase 1b when statistically relevant efficacy and, more importantly, direct comparison with plain doxorubicin can be shown in a treatment environment.

RMFatGB, the status of Avacta being funded to 2024 and beyond is now called into question. That was the situation when it was stated but since then the planned Phase 1a has completed and the planned Phase 1b is being abandoned in favour of an extension of 1a by two cohorts (and very likely to a new design) and a completely new and expanded 1b. Whether the new trial plan will be more or less expensive than the abandoned one will, I suspect, depend on whether the FDA's ODD or other schemes, or indeed schemes of other regulatory authorities, will contribute grants to help fund the trials.

Cohort 5 has NOT started, unless you want to call gmcc a liar and, by extension, the others that say they've had responses from Alan, including the one who even published the email response on Twitter.

DE 5? Just bl**dy stop and think before you mindlessly post.
