The director has done more to damage the value of BOO than all the good BOO has done since the last results. It makes a mockery of all the experts trawling over all the snippets of information as to why the value of a company is such, because with the press of the sell button all the good has been wiped out, all a bit fool hardy, in my opinion. History dictates when a director sells, the market hates it and the share price always drops significantly. A £3m sell, wipes £300m from the value of his company, so in turn, this has affected all the fellow directors, the employees, the shares holders, the potential new investors and only really benefits the one director. If the directors didn't sell, the share price could be on the way to 270p and it would benefit the fellow directors, the employees, the shares holders and ultimately the director because his shares are now valued at 20% more than he sold them. Then if the company is worth more, He could negotiate a pay rise on the back of it, because £900,000 per year isn't enough! If the director still really need to sell, he should sell further down the line, not the day after results, when the whole world is watching. No one is talking about how good BOO HOO results are now, they are talking about why did this guy sell, what does he know... The director has proved Robot and his elk right, because DROP it did and prove Thorpy and Jambon wrong, which is more the pity...

You're correct, my bad, £280m loss on the company value, for £3m sell.

1.15bn BOO HOO shares in issue. @ 225p the company was worth £25.875bn today @ 201p the company is worth £23.115bn. not really a good trade off for £3m on the hip, for an asset loss of £3bn!!, if the big players like old mutual and the such are as pee'd off as me, then it could have dire consequences for the company in moving forward. If you are so desperate for £3m, after your £900k salary, it would be cheaper to secure a loan against your share asset, instead selling your shares. If the share price rises to 300p, your asset gain is worth more or less half of what you sold out for.... and you'd still own the shares. If these directors keep on selling these huge chunks, BOO will languish at 225p forever... and Kamani's and the gang will never have the Kudos of being the richest retailers in the UK. Just saying....

I must admit, it does make me smile. Anyone mentioned selling on daily drops, moving past the 20 candle moving average, MACD, Ichimoku,,, you'd have the wrath of the BOO chat police! Stating you're not an investor, you're a trader blah blah blah. If you've sold now, to buy in at a later date, that's fine, that is what loads of us do. The silver lining to this sale is, is that we won't have to read rightous postings, because with the greatest respect, a few here have turned into the epitome of everything that they have been posting that they despise.

I don't get that the daily mail article! surely you can only moan about ripped shorts, when they weren't meant to have rips in them, in the first place. The shorts are sold, by BOO HOO as the buyer has modeled in her article. It's like buying an ice cream then moaning because its cold. Perhaps she just wanted to get her legs shown in the paper... Then there's the fact that anything they buy, exclusive cars, houses, watches etc,,, only accrue value. They become shrewd investment assets, years later. You get to a point of �10m plus, where you can't lose money, unless you start on the marching powder or gamble or end up behind the big metal door, probably by doing the other two vices. But as the adage goes, the worst vice is advice!!

Yeah I suppose..... BUT if they didn't sell, they drew a wage, built the company up, drew a bigger wage, took the occasional loan for trinkets, all the while building BOO's value over the next 10 years. Then when they exit, by selling to a high bidder (whom ever that might be) surely at that point, they would want to be holding as many shares as possible. Their golden parachute would be of such magnitude, their feet wouldn't touch the ground again..

Hi Jambon That's my point, they don't really need to sell shares, because I'm sure they draw a fantastic wage from all the products that they are selling, the profit they post is after costs (wages, running costs, etc). The selling of their shares is just a bonus income. Essentially borrowing money for big purchases (houses, cars, divorces!) is far cheaper than risking a fall in the share price.

Thorpy or Jambon or anyone else knowledgeable with how public companies borrowing works. The reason for this- I've got a limited company, the bigger the turnover, the easier it is for me to borrow against it. I can borrow as low as 4.4% depending on my scheme. A personal loan I can get as low as 3%. My question- selling shares for an income or borrowing funds from a third party, fire an income. Which is more efficient? I would of thought it be in the directors best interest for the share price to rocket. If i can borrow for next to nothing, against my companies turnover, then they surely can too? If the share value is high, their company is worth more, their loan to value is better = a better borrowing rate. Then the higher the share price, the more people want to buy into it,,, then higher the share price goes, better the loan to value, so on, so forth.... essentially a self perpetual machine. Or another way of stating it- I lend money to developers, I get 12% to 20%, if I can borrow at 4%, it's free money. Surely it works the same for the directors, they borrow at 4%, their shares are worth 30% more in 12 months, because they didn't sell, so they've had it off, to the tune of 26%!! So why would they sell? I don't think they will, I think we're going upwards without any significant falls from here, just the normal ebbs and flows.

Some people continue to talk, when they should be listening. Shame really, he posted some stuff that was worth a second look, but in the end, it got too noisy...

Surely that's enough now people, you've all ****ged one another off enough, to the point, there can't be anything left to say, the colourful vernacular used on this public forum leaves a lot to be desired. What personnel gain do you hope to achieve from such posts? What you think about someone is your business, what they think about you, is their business, it shouldn't matter to you what someone thinks about you, so why react. Personally, I don't understand calling anyone out on a faceless community board, where you can't prove your statement one way or the other i.e. money, wealth, trinkets, news is different this, will come out in the sands of time, no point in arguing about it now. Confrontation is only important when face to face. When someone is growling in your grill, you have to make the decision to either walk away, stand your ground or roll around on the pub car park floor. On here, we could be talking to a 13 year old juvenile or a 99 year old senile, by some of the posts, one can only assume that this is probably the case. I like to come on here to read posts that give value to me as an investor, BOO news or other companies to look out for etc. I'm only commenting now, as I care about wasting my time reading posts that are of no benefit to my growth, and I should imagine, they're not to 99% readers growth benefit either, which is a shame, because every now and then, these posters, post something worth reading. I should imagine that everyone on here, is here for monetary gain or to gain snippets of information that they might have missed whilst doing their own due diligence. Facebook, twitter and all the other such forums are for toxic posts, spitting venom or catching up with an acquaintance, or chew the fat without a specific subject matter. Robot posted that he had information that the price was going to drop, drop it did this morning, 3% in 10 minutes! It seemed to me that he was letting this board know the information he received. I don't know where Robot gets his information from, but he has been correct with this drop and the previous drop, if you acted on yesterdays information you'd currently be better off by 3%, then after looking to buy in again at 09:23 @ 194p, you'd be up another 2%ish. For all we know Robot could be talking to a major share holder that has lent his shares to a shorting crowd to dump on the market, or a big player, who knows!? No one is married to this share for better or worse, it's in flux, ebbing and flowing, we're discussing share news trading strategies. Robot stated that he was taking a bet against a drop and said why he was taking the bet, he said he is still holding his main account, where's the problem!? Not that his trading strategy has anything to do with anyone else, he can do whatever he wants to do. When someone gets information of this nature, backed up with facts, as it was, he mentioned the 19 short positions under 5% (or whatever he said) I'd prefer that this information was shared, over not being shared, I can chose to listen or not (free will and all that),,,,, unfortunately I didn't listen, by the time I could sell, 2% of the damage was done. If the shorters are still on the attack, I'd want to know, not to necessary sell my holdings, especially being so close to D day, but I'd certainly like to get funds ready to ante up again and nick a cheeky little couple of quid....

I'm sticking with BOO as my main holding for the time being, it's like a cantankerous family member, I keep on giving it one more chance....

Its nice to be able to hold on to your rainy day fund,,, until we get a rainy day. Any time I chase a share thats had it's leg up or invest when I think its the bottom, it invariably goes wonky... A trade of 1,535,316 has just popped onto BOO level 2! it's showing as a green symbol, so don't know whether its a buy or sell. It isn't showing on Hargreaves or the volume traded, so not entirely sure what it is.

cb1234, you aren't kidding, 5% again! It A little stumble from 08;30, then it got the next leg up.... Thanks for making me have another good look at it.
