the day traders are playing this one pal but retail in general is being spanked today, my advice is to close your laptop and come back after Christmas but dont listen to my advice as Im on here daily

yeah we will bounce back and then increase but it wont be quick, i'm looking forward to the levels of the new sp after Christmas trading, thats where we will see some positive movement. Cost savings, Carphone in Currys and PC World stores and across northern Europe can only mean great Divi in the coming years. FTSE 100 is our next step ahead. ATB folks Bob

ref 60p - we are talking about a value based on current SP. When the merger goes ahead then the SP will be completely different and we can only then compare growth or decline based on the new SP value so 60p wont be in scope. Hope this helps. ATB, Bob

Also FTSE 100 listing will come with the merger so good times ahead for all of us all. Divi would be the icing on the cake and its fair to say that should move us up to 60p+ land for sure. ATB Bob

Lets remember that CPW has had better increases in SP than Dixons of late so its prob a bit of a correction going on before the apparent merger takes place. Also Dixons will be reporting results soon. ATB Bob

Very quiet on here guys??? 3 weeks untill full year results are in - 15th May 31/2 weeks for news on merger if not sooner - 19th May If results are below target and merger does not go ahead I expect SP to go slightly lower (if this happens I am not that bothered - long term holder) Fingers crossed that results are as expected or higher and merger goes ahead. What would the SP be then? 60p+? My money is on good results and merger going ahead - what does everyone think? views please. ATB Bob

If the merger goes ahead then this is a bit of a game changer for CPW as they have more retail outlets throught Dixons, so the mobile phone networks will want to be in and not out imho. ATB mate, Bob
