On Wednesday, I'm expecting good things based on PDG, VTU results. Nothing priced in at these levels.

The market is slowly waking up to yesterdays RNS. Still way undervalued.

Has an mcap of over £800m based on what? Is PURP really worth nearly five times more than VTU? Sometimes the market is a joke.

Surprised by the lack of market reaction. No love for car retailers despite encouraging results.

Placings? Wash your mouth out with soap and water, that's a filthy word. Personally, I cant see there being any unless the BoD have a significant takeover target in mind and right now I cant think of any SME dealer groups. City Motor Holdings based largely in Newbury went bust in Oct, most of those sites are still vacant and the manufacturers I suspect will be talking to dealer groups regarding the MA franchise. Possible opportunity for VTU to expand their presence in the south.

Totally undervalued when taking the MCAP and profit into consideration. Fair value is nearer 70p imo. Have a look at PDG latest trading update from two days. I expect VTU to break into the 50s when they update the market.

GW, the product is still under going trials and development just like it has been for the last three years lol.

Ob, "throw in a few positives" PMSL. What positives? And what product is INSP getting to market? Is it the same boiler that was supposed to go to market three years ago or is that still in the development stages and awaiting trials? JG might need to do another placing as those trips to Barbados must be costly, plus I heard Suki is high maintenance and refuses to fly anything other than business or first.

SMMT said in January "car sales advanced 2.9% year-on-year to 174,564 units, the highest level seen since 2005. Sales were underpinned by a 5% increase in private demand". Expect after sales and customer retention to increase with improved margins. Fleet demand is also rising, albeit marginally it's still an increase. All the signs look positive, VTU are well placed to capitalise. BoD were keen buying c40p and who can blame them?

Good to see last weeks gains holding. It wont be long now before we get a trading update and the 40s will be history, imo. Last years update was 8th March.

As fast as they closed they'll be back hammering it. For two years it struggled in the 147-175 range. Odey and his mates will be licking their lips at 247p.

'invested in margin' increases stock turn, it's not a bad thing and all dealer groups do it during the lean months. You don't want stagnant stock on your forecourt. RNS reads good, typical over reaction.

Stalin, had the BOD not acted and expanded through acquisition, its highly likely they would have missed out. LOOK added Benfield Motor Group, MMH added Ridgeway and SG Smith. Early mover advantage was crucial in securing key sites away from rivals who I happened to know were interested. BOD did well getting Farnells and some Merc sites in lucrative market areas and have invested heavily in developing existing sites. And don't think they haven't invested in quality personnel, they have.

Likewise, I also trade for profit and have no sentiment towards any stock. I trade the swings and I'm not invested in VTU at the moment, I sold the vast majority of my stocks and currently only have one stock left in my pf. Brexit and falling pound is having an effect. After the referendum whether in or out they'll be plenty of bargains to be had. Smart money for now is sitting on the sidelines, cash is king.
