AlvarroI we must appreciate that the decline in Europe has peaked and things will improve. With the US economy set to ignite, the world economy will also benefit. I really feel the current SP factors in more bad news and if we do not see it, expect a quick recovery.

This is because the size of their stake amounts to a "poison pill" they know they cannot get the company so cheaply, but at the same time they are preventing other serious higher bids.

This is therefore not the concern and if anything, if sales improve this would mean CD & R would feel a takeover at a much lower price will go through. When the SP hit 65p in 2021, a takeover of less than £1 was mentioned by so many on t his BB would not be voted through. However, a much smaller offer is now likely to succeed or a much heavily discounted rights issue!!

It is not the best kept secret that Labour's plan to boost construction has not ignited, but remains flat. Construction has not declined, but the SP already factors in the worst news. With flat news the SP is likely to recover and the bond issue will not be a problem as we will see a rights issue which will be carried out from a position of strength. Also note that cost cuts will have improved efficency.
