Quite right Mullins. Contrary to the picture some have tried to paint of them, most of those who believe in the utlimate success of WRES have been very measured in their opinions and have always acknowledged the rough road it has been for the last couple of years - but they (and I) recognise that the unforeseen problems have not all been MM's fault. Personally, I think he should be given credit for the determination he has shown to keep this company going and get it on what appears now to be the right track. Maybe it's the Aussie "can do" spirit, plus of course the considerable investment he himself has in it.

Pretty sure this article was already posted on here, but interesting that CEPI have picked up on it.

As RP pointed out, the CEPI article is all about their early investment in Clover (in Spring 2020) and how, a year on, Covax have now adopted it. It has nothing to do with any support they may give to vaccine candiates in the future, apart from the line "CEPI’s decision to invest in any COVID-19 vaccine candidate is based on scientific promise". Not sure how it could be interpreted as Scancell being overlooked.

And one thing all Scancell investors are sure of is Lindy's "scientific promise".

I downloaded the PDF you refer to which gives the CTC Meeting dates, and note the text saying "The last COVID-19 CTC meeting for 2020 is on the 14th December 2020 and the submission date for this COVID-19 meeting is the 07th December 2020."

Now, the 14th December date isn't in the list of CTC Meeting dates, which along with referring to a meeting as a Covid one, kind of implies to me that there ARE extra , special, meetings for Covid applications.

They also say that the results of CTC Meetings are expected 10 days after the meeting, but I imagine Covid applications are expedited at every stage.

Oops, I meant to say the 7 - 10 days is to complete the second step "Review of the study and report submission", so there is still the CTC Meeting to come after that.

My reading of it though, is that the 7 - 10 days is the time for SAHPRA to complete the third step in the process "CTC Meeting (discuss the reports)" as per the chart in section 3 here: https://www.sahpra.org.za/clinical-trials/

If that's the case, then we still have to wait for the results from that CTC Meeting to be documented before Scancell are informed of the outcome of the application.

But the 7 - 10 days is still very good news.

I've scoured the SAHPRA website and I can't find any reference to a 7 - 10 day turnaround for Covid vaccine trial submissions either. If whoever first revealed it could post a link that would be most helpful to all of us I'm sure.

I thought I saw 10 days or so too, but according to the SAHPRA website, it could take 6 weeks.

"Clinical Trial Unit aim to process new applications and issue checklist within 3 weeks of receipt. The Clinical Trial Committee recommendations would be sent within 10 weeks of submission due date. There are cases where this turnaround time might be prolonged i.e. unfamiliar investigational product which may be referred to external reviewers or other committees of SAHPRA for input.

The timeline to receive the response after the submission of application for additional investigators, site(s) and protocol amendment is about 6 weeks following receipt of the application."

That said, elsewhere on their site they acknowledge they have a backlog stretching back several years and are expediting applications to clear it. I would have thought a Covid vaccine would have a good chance of jumping to the head of the queue, especially one which has good lab data against the SA variant (which SAHPRA are natually very keen on).

A miracle? No, I don't agree - just the improvements already made to work, and getting to 24/7 production without any more problems.

Tony, the "C:" in your link indicates that the location of your file is your hard drive, so you cannot provide a link to that for other people. To be fair, you're not the first person I've seen on LSE that tried to do that .

Morning Chelsea11 - nope, and I haven't had a reply to my email either. Anyone know how long Investor Relations usually take to reply ? I'll be very disappointed if they don't respond but a good RNS will be adequate consolation.

Guess this would explain the sustained rise, when the standard form for AIM is a spike or a roller coaster.

Now Miton have declared and presumably finished buying (for now anyway) it will be interesting to see where we go from here - up, down or sideways.

TF - my email to Scancell was simply asking for confirmation that the Modi info in the RNS was accurate. They must be able to confirm that without compromising themselves. However, no response from them yet, so I am beginning to wonder if they are holding off because news is imminent.
Just a wishful thought possibly.
