Changes to opening hours from 10 March
Between Sunday 10 March and Sunday 31 March, US and Canadian markets will trade one hour earlier in UK time than usual. This is to reflect the start of Daylight Saving Time in the US on the former date, and British Summer Time in the UK on the latter. During this time:
• US equity markets will be open between 1.30pm and 8pm. As a result, dividend adjustments to US indices will happen at 8pm
• 'All Sessions' markets on US shares will be open from 8am to midnight Monday-Thursday, and 8am to 9pm on Fridays
• New York Cocoa, New York Sugar, New York Coffee and London Sugar all close an hour earlier than usual
• Any expiring US markets will be settling an hour earlier than usual
• On Sundays:
- Forex markets will open as usual at 9pm
- All 24-hour index markets will open at 10pm, instead of 11pm
- Weekend indices will roll at 9.40pm, instead of 10.40pm
• On Fridays, forex markets, 24-hour index markets and the dealing desk will close at 9pm, instead of 10pm.
• On Saturdays, cryptocurrencies and weekend indices will open at 4am as normal
All times listed here are UK time. We have tried to make this information as accurate as possible, but it is intended for guidance only and is subject to change.
