The catastrophic decline of this SP over the last few years has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with Israel v Hamas. Pure unadulterated nonsense . Stick to finance rather than International Politics..a subject (s) you know very little bout.
The reason Ceres has fallen off a cliff is that no JV was signed (and never will be). Then we entered the FTSE 250..a decision of quite remarkable stupidity. The Chinese companies who own chunks of Ceres have cannabilised the company. Stripped the flesh off they want then chucked us a few rancid bones. The financial markets know this and that is why we are where are. Not because of what's happening in the Gaza Strip or West Bank.
The problem with Warren Buffet's quote (always repeated when SP's fall) about the Stock Market 'redistributing income from the impatient to the patient' is actually a load of old claptrap. What about Sirius Minerals? What about Carillion? There are lots of companies that investors held for years that went bust & they subsequently lost all their money. My golden rule with shares (which I sometimes break) is sell if they rise above 10% of what you paid. Sell if they fall below 10% of what you originally paid. NEVER try and make a fast buck. Don't gamble on AIM. Look for decent realistic dividends. Everyone gets their fingers burnt now & again. It's almost inevitable. Good luck to those still holding. Always DYOR.
I feel genuinely sorry for investors who kept the faith in Ceres. I sold the last of my batch monday. I'd really love this to bounce back but realistically I think our technology has been used by the Chinese then we've been dumped. No JV in 2024. How low will this go? 50 pence wouldn't tempt me back in. GLAH.
What on earth is the point of these 'Cop' meetings? Massive celebrity bashes for the rich & famous to jet round the world lecturing to us mere mortals to use 'less' whilst 0.001 % of the population (those attending 'cop' use more than the rest of us combined. Charles Camilla & Andrew should be strapped to a wind-turbine, preferably somewhere freezing cold, then spun round at 100 mph. With fireworks too.
Just sold my remaining 4000 Ceres. Very sad to do so. Lost £2000 on top of the £1850 I lost last week. Would love to buy back in the future but at the moment this is heading for £1.50. Getting kicked out of the FTSE 250 is very bad news. You win some. You lose some.
There are so many variables affecting world markets but some shares seem to be hit much harder than others. Rolls Royce & Centrica don't seem to be doing so badly (I hold both). Even little old AFC seems to be rising. Ceres & ITM on the other hand....A great past to look forward too (I only hold 4,000 now, which is 4,000 too many imo) DYOR
I don't think the JV is necessarily dead in the water but a SP doesn't drop from £14 to £2 without a reason. I've just sold half my holdings because I've decided to cut some losses. Can only see this heading one way, unfortunately.
