Member Info for 1863

Just sold my remaining 4000 Ceres. Very sad to do so. Lost £2000 on top of the £1850 I lost last week. Would love to buy back in the future but at the moment this is heading for £1.50. Getting kicked out of the FTSE 250 is very bad news. You win some. You lose some.

There are so many variables affecting world markets but some shares seem to be hit much harder than others. Rolls Royce & Centrica don't seem to be doing so badly (I hold both). Even little old AFC seems to be rising. Ceres & ITM on the other hand....A great past to look forward too (I only hold 4,000 now, which is 4,000 too many imo) DYOR

I don't think the JV is necessarily dead in the water but a SP doesn't drop from £14 to £2 without a reason. I've just sold half my holdings because I've decided to cut some losses. Can only see this heading one way, unfortunately.

My thoughts exactly. I nearly sold yesterday but thought it would keep rising today. Then I would have sold tomorrow on the basis that it would drop on Monday. Who knows though? Good luck.

As per usual with this share...one step forwards two steps back. Wouldn't be at all surprised to visit sub £2 by 4.30pm tomorrow.

Very interesting post. Unfortunately (being a shareholder here myself) that is pretty much spot on.

CWR hasn't fallen from £14 to under £2 to give posters an opportunity to 'top up' or 'bring down the average' or provide a 'good entry point' plus other assorted nonsense.

It's fallen because of the points you have alluded too. I'm not selling because I think this share may doing something in 2024 but to be honest I wished I'd have sold my holdings a few years ago.

Hopefully the whiskey alpha november kilo days have gone.

quite amusing reading some of the comments here. hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it? the fact is that this share has tanked from £14 to under £2 in a couple of years. people who have put money into this are now being lectured by smart-****s about 'golden rules' etc etc. i'm holding my 8000 ceres shares because i daren't short and i will lose too much if i sell. and i would imagine a lot of posters are in exactly the same position.

By the time this makes any money (if ever) I'll be too old to spend it. All I can do is hold and see what happens.

Nobody can predict where this SP is going but my guess is that next week it will bounce up again. Then the week after down. I'm holding on because of this extreme volatility. This has been an extremely disappointing year for Ceres, that's for sure.

Not sure why people are posting news now that was released in September? Even more puzzling are the three recommendations. Amnesia? This share could bounce back up or drop below £2 by Friday. Volatile & unpredictable. I'm just holding in the hope that we do eventually see £5 again. Maybe 2024. Maybe never. Who knows?

Thinking of doing the same but I would have to sell either Rolls Royce or Glencore to release some cash. Still a lot of volatility here so I might just sit & wait. Good price though imo. GLAH

My thoughts exactly. We seem to be holding this line. Once it's been established by the markets I think a lot of buys will go in. Could go up quickly imo. Volatility inevitable.

Hopefully from this point we will start to head toward £3 slowly with some volatility but I think we're now around minimum point in the cycle.

Noggers. My apologies. You are absolutely correct. Sorry about that. I just wouldn't have the nerve to sell now because I can almost guarantee that if I do they'll shoot back up.

I only hold 8,000 CWR and I guess to make a couple of grand in a week you would need to have a lot more.

If you sold some Ceres last week then bought them back this week you won't be a 'couple of grand up'.

Because your Ceres holding will be 'a couple of grand down'.

Only institutions that 'borrow' shares for a 'short period' (which they pay for) are able to do this.

Not individual share holders like us.

Just a matter of time before this hits £3 again..

Don't be spooked into selling is my advice. The SP could bolt back up in no time for no apparent reason. Ive learnt this lesson the hard way in my 30 years of share dealing. HOLD.

Who knows is the honest anwser.
