Agree.
Take a look at this case study. That could be the case for Singida and for West Kenya too.
So, It is stupid to sell at 13.65.

The board Is not the Shanta owner; they're just manager.
Their duty is to do their best for Shareholders in terms of Profits.
And the shareholders are whom choose at last.
IMO, as shareholder, it makes no sense to give away Shanta shares to Patel at 13.65 pences.
Or, in the other way, do you think that Patel would sell Shanta to us at 13.65 pences?
TornadoTony,
take a look at the huge amount of new money printed since 2020 fron the thin air by the Central Banks and them you Will realize that it is absurd that gold goes to 1700 or below.
It makes no sense.
Shanta board nows this issue very well; so, it makes no sense that they back this take over, but it is their duty to do that even it is a horrible advise for shareholders.
But there are no trades at 13.65 yet. This could mean that big ones don't trust in the successes of the take over, that is 13.65 is not enought.
The main con of Serabi is its tiny size: £35.44 millions, that makes it hard to get in and difficult to get out.

The advice the Doctor (who is me) gave to me was: don't rush and take a look at page 23 from Serabi's presentation Nov 2023 because there are some miners ideas that could help you choose and do your own research.

Thanks a lot for the information about Serabi Pacifico. I appreciate it very much because I'm expecting a gold bull trend, starting in a short period of time, that should last few years (take a look at the botton link)
Shanta is one of my bets on the moment, but this takeover is a bad taste joke that changes everything because, in my opinion, Shanta shareholders are going to be set aside from the comming gold bull trend.
I dont want to lose this comming chance and I'm moving on looking for alternative promising gold miners.
And Serabi could be one of them.
I have shares of Fresnillo, SilverCrest and Kinross already and I'm evaluating Serabi, NewGold, IamGold or whatever in order to replace Shanta.
Any suggestion?

As a consequence of the takeover, Shanta price is going to be stuck for months.
I don't want to lose the coming Gold bull trend. I'm not going to sell shanta but put new money in a Shanta like miner. And Serabi could be the right place. What do you think about Serabi?
Any other proposal?
Saturn are not stupid.
Tanzania mines that are functioning have 595,000 proven reserves. They are priced at $140 per ounce. This gives a value of $83.3M. The resources at a conversion of 50% to reserves amount 1M ounces at the proven reserve rate and the net value is $140M. The West Kenya resources without a mine valued at just $40 an ounce as indicated resource are valued at $45M. The grand total value is $268.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
That's to say: Shanta makes 7% profit per buried ounce.
But if Shanta unearth those ounces they will make at least 15% profit per ounce.
And gold is heading to $ 2,500/ounce in few months and reserves updates expected in a few weeks for both Tanzania and West Kenia.
This takeover is unfair.
On the other hand, Barrick sold west Kenia under these conditions:
"The project is estimated to hold 1.18 million ounces (Moz) of gold grading 12.6 grams per tonne (g/t).
Valued at a total purchase price of $14.5m and a 2% net smelter return (NSR) will be with Barrick over the life of mine"

Is It a right URL? Does It really runs?
Correction:
Feb 24: 2,080
Gold Futures Contracts prices, in $.
Jan 24: 2,064;
Feb 24: 3,080
Mar 24: 2,093
And take a look at the gold futures contract for coming months:
2,074 March 2024;
2,113.6 August 2024;
2,145 Dec 2024
I'm going to vote no. I have 125,000 shares.
It doesn't make sense to sell Shanta right at the beginning of a gold bull market.
Three reasons for that, in my opinion:
1st. The Board are all stupid;
2nd. The Board is disloyal to the shareholders.
3rd: A mixture of 1 and 2.
Take a look Ag this video: https://youtu.be/LLSt6sIT_Hc?si=X6tcIbibwyE6mt2Y

Not yet.
However Fresnillo is 6.86% Up.
Last Sunday night’s punch up in the Hong Kong Gold Market cost “someone” about USD$30b

That's a lot of money
