Lads, you don't know the history of this share. We have seen SO many 30-70% rises over the last 2 years, usually followed by a convenient placing.
Just check the COPL board...
Trading whilst v busy at work not a good idea - thought i bought at 0.15, just looked at my portfolio and it never executed hahaha - depressing. In at 0.215.
I'm very, very happy I stumbled across this company - looks ridiculously undervalued
Bought in at 2.83, only regret is not putting just a little bit more in - GGP looking like an incredible prospect.
The FOMO with COPL is unbelievable - I'm scared ****less that the mythical RNS will drop and there will be the mother of all rises - but then I realise this is COPL we're talking about and the RNS is just the stuff of legends (I hope not btw, people have suffered here for long enough!!).
You don't want to miss out on what could be a once in a lifetime rise but something deep down in your heart tells you that it's a sinking (if not already sunk) ship.
I sold out at a rather large loss in a fit of rage after a particularly heavy weekend (never buy or sell stocks hungover), and now I'm seriously considering having another little punt, as the placing I was expecting is now long overdue.
Sorry for the pointless rambling post, just wanted to vent my dilemna to the good people of the COPL board - will probably buy back in if the price drops another 10-15%.
If this RNS does ever drop, I think a massive party is in order.
And to all the people talking about chart technicals, this is COPL we're talking about and it doesn't mean f all!!
That's not punt money eh guys!
Actually looks better off taking the remaining funds I've got in here and chucking it all on black on the roulette table at the moment - written this 'investment' off anyway. What's the next placing price going to be?? Honestly going to be at 5 billion shares before Christmas the rate this is going.
Hahaha lets hope it's an omen, although...
...I've said that for the last 2 years so to put it bluntly no - I've grown very cynical toward COPL (unsurprisingly). That gigantic buy reignited some hope within me especially considering the price paid but I'm still a large critic of the way things have been done.
Arthur Christmas needs to get his sleigh working.
Most likely banks etc. reconciling differences.
I'm normally very critical of people talking about people in the know due to big buys but 168k is obscenely large...
I feel like I'm going to regret this decision but I'm going to buy a small amount too.
Personally, I've written off my investment at this point. I'm not selling because of the tiniest shred of hope that the prophesied RNS of legends will drop at some point in the next 30 years.
There is literally nothing else to discuss at the moment other than when the next placing will be because the communication is non-existent. Shareholders shouldn't need to 'join dots' and therefore make assumptions - the company owes us some sort of update.
Aah well, best to assume your investment is worthless and be very pleasantly surprised if this eventually comes good.
I feel like even the most optimistic holders will start to turn against the COPL management if there's another placing, with the same 'progress' narrative shoved at the bottom of the announcement.
You can also guarantee that if there is another one, that it will be relatively small (well COPL kind of small in any case), to keep holders thinking that there's something coming just around the corner. Rinse and repeat 2 months later.
Just because there's nothing else to discuss currently...
Absolute carnage on the ADVFN board - reminds me of LSE a few months back but even worse!
I think a fair bit of forward selling goes on, effectively guaranteeing profit for the institution/organisation funding the placing.
I've effectively written off my investment here, but I'm not selling because the potential of OPL226 is absolutely massive (and I'm greedy). Something just feels very, very wrong.
Let's just hope that by some absolute miracle (and this really would be a miracle with COPLs history) that there is some sort of alternative finance deal sorted. I mean my mind would be well and truly blown but stranger things have happened (or...actuallly...have they?).
The market cap of the company will be lower then the BODs combined monthly salaries at the rate we're going. I think that's the most frustrating part for most of us, the obscene remuneration being paid to the staff of a company that is essentially doing nothing - they're just waiting like the rest of us.
I think everyone understands the risks associated with investing in companies such as this but there's something about this whole situation that feels like a gigantic **** take.
And yeah, no doubt in my mind now that there will be another bloody placing, bring on 4 billion shares, I just can't wait!!
Apparently whenever Harry/Nicky emails his erratic ramblings to Art he always gets an email back, it's gotta be total bs.
Can't say I disagree Berta, I'll be far more shocked if the next RNS is not a placing. Here's to hoping we're both proven wrong!
