WPP purchases French web design agency

Sir Martin Sorrell's advertising behemoth WPP has acquired a French marketing agency that specialises in producing websites for brands and corporate clients. The creative agency, called X-Prime, was purchased by WPP's communications agecny JWT and employs around 50 people in Paris and Toulouse. With clients that include Saint Gobain, Krug and Inwi, X-Prime made €4.7m with gross assets of approximately €3.2m as at the same date. In France, WPP and its associates generate revenues of around $800m and employ over 5,000 people.Shares in WPP were up 1.25% at 10:05 on Tuesday.OH
