(Alliance News) - VPC Specialty Lending Investments PLC on Wednesday declared a 2.00 pence per share interim dividend for the three months ended September 30.
The dividend, which is flat year-on-year, will be paid December 19 and has an ex-dividend date of November 28.
The investment trust, which focuses on asset-backed lending to emerging and established businesses, has opted to designate the entire interim dividend for the three month period as an interest distribution.
VPC Specialty Lending said this will stream income from its interest-bearing investments into dividend which will be taxed in shareholders' hands as interest income. As such, no income tax will be deducted from this or future interest distributions at source.
Shares in VPC Specialty Lending were up 0.5% at 78.40 pence in London on Wednesday afternoon.
