UK's Reeves announces summer sales tax cut for fun days out

LONDON, May ​21 (Reuters) - ⁠British finance ​minister Rachel Reeves said she ​would ‌temporarily slash ⁠the sales tax charged ⁠on tickets ​for attractions like theme parks, zoos ​and theatres, ‌as part of her efforts to help ​the economy ‌during the Iran war.

The cut to value ‌added tax to 5% from 20% ​for certain attractions would apply ‌from the end of June to ⁠the ⁠beginning of September, ‌she told parliament on ​Thursday. (Reporting ​by ‌Muvija M, writing by Sarah Young; editing by William James)
