UK's Reeves announces summer sales tax cut for fun days out
LONDON, May 21 (Reuters) - British finance minister Rachel Reeves said she would temporarily slash the sales tax charged on tickets for attractions like theme parks, zoos and theatres, as part of her efforts to help the economy during the Iran war.
The cut to value added tax to 5% from 20% for certain attractions would apply from the end of June to the beginning of September, she told parliament on Thursday. (Reporting by Muvija M, writing by Sarah Young; editing by William James)
