Sinclair Pharma has issued convertible unsecured loan notes worth about £2.3m to a leading institutional investor.A first series of £1m of the notes will be issued immediately with an option to issue up to a further £1.3m of notes.The group said the additional funds will further strengthen its balance sheet, improve its working capital position and provide opportunities for further organic growth.Scanning software specialist Kofax has acquired invoice processing software maker 170 Systems for $32.9m. Kofax said taking over 170 Systems, which has headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts and employs about 140 staff, should position the firm for leadership within the invoice processing market.
