Intec Telecom Systems has admitted that it is in bid talks with a third party. They are at an early stage and there can be no certainty that a bid will be made for the software company or, if it is, what level it will be pitched at. Revenue fell from £80.3m to £70m in the six months to March 2010. Pre-tax profit fell by two-fifths to £5.1m. Intec has a strong balance sheet with net cash of £67.4m at the end of March 2010. Even after the share price rise that still covers more than one-quarter of the current market value of the company. Strong interim figures from light emitting diode (LED) technology company
Dialight were not enough to prevent a small dip in its share price. Dialight has been subject to a number of broker upgrades over the past year and it remains positive. Revenue in the first half of the year surged to £46.17m from £34.63m in the first six months of 2009, while profit before tax leapt to £5.28m from £0.53m the year before. The Signals and Illumination division, the group's key growth segment, grew revenue by 23% while sales in the LED Indication division rebounded strongly with sales more than 50% higher than in the depressed market seen in the first half of last year. The interim dividend has been increased from 2.3p to 2.8p a share.FTSE TechMARK - RisersIntec Telecom Systems (ITL) 74.50p +34.84%Pace (PIC) 209.60p +11.79%BATM Advanced (BVC) 28.00p +10.89%Oxford Biomedica (OXB) 10.75p +8.81%Xaar (XAR) 136.00p +5.02%Phytopharm (PYM) 8.75p +4.42%Innovation Group (TIG) 12.00p +4.35%BTG (BGC) 212.10p +4.07%Domino Printing (DNO) 461.50p +3.31%Torotrak (TRK) 26.00p +2.97%FTSE TechMARK - FallersElectronic Data Processing (EDP) 45.00p -3.33%Triad Group (TRD) 24.00p -2.08%GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) 1,164.00p -1.94%QinetiQ Group (QQ.) 129.00p -1.53%AstraZeneca (AZN) 3,105.50p -1.30%Puricore (PURI) 56.00p -0.89%Anite Group (AIE) 40.75p -0.61%Oxford Instruments (OXIG) 338.00p -0.59%KCOM Group (KCOM) 44.75p -0.56%Dialight (DIA) 335.00p -0.15%
