SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: Gem Diamonds shines; Gulf Marine up again

Mon, 18th Oct 2021 10:51

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Monday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Gem Diamonds Ltd, up 4.2% at 62.73 pence, 12-month range 35.40p-79.40p. The Lesotho- and Botswana-focused diamond miner recovers 245 carat and 102 carat white diamonds. The stones are recovered from the Letseng mine in Lesotho. Letseng is the highest dollar per kimberlite diamond mine in the world, Gem says.

----------

Gulf Marine Services PLC, up 3.4% at 5.24 pence, 12-month range 2.90p-11.35p. The stock has risen for the seven sessions prior to Monday. Despite a 12-month high of 11.35p, ending the session at current share price levels would represent the support vessels provider's best close since June. Last week Wednesday, Gulf Marine said it swung to a first half pretax profit USD2.0 million, from a USD25.9 million loss a year earlier.
