SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: Alfa Financial lifts revenue outlook

Tue, 06th Jul 2021 11:08

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Tuesday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Alfa Financial Software Holdings PLC, up 5.4% at 146.50 pence, 12-month range 62.18p-153.7p. The asset finance industry software firm says strong revenue performance has continued since May update and bumps up full-year outlook. First-half revenue expectations remain unchanged, but increased contractual cover for the second half, along with further statement of work for existing customers, leads firm to anticipate revenue for 2021 as a whole to be 5% higher than prior expectations. "As a consequence we now expect to exceed 2020 underlying revenues (excluding 2020 one-off licence income) despite the negative impact of currency," it says.

----------

EnQuest PLC, up 5.3% at 22.90p, 12-month range 8.67p-25.3p. Completes acquisition of P1078 licence containing the proven Bentley heavy-oil discovery from Whalsay Energy Holdings Ltd. In April, firm announced the deal and said it would pay up to USD2 million in accrued costs for the entire equity interest in the Bentley discovery. No other upfront consideration is payable although EnQuest may make deferred payments to Whalsay based on future revenue generated, which are capped at USD40 million, it added at the time.

----------

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

----------

Predator Oil & Gas Holdings PLC, down 37% at 8.845p, 12-month range 2.55p-22.3p. The oil and gas company reports completion of drilling of MOU-1. Formation gas shows were recorded in a shallow sand at 605 metres measured depth comprising 2.35% or 19,392 parts per million C1 methane. "The occurrence of good gas shows in MOU-1 with evidence of thermogenic gas migration supports in this part of the Guercif Basin the pre-drill geological interpretation for a deep gas 'kitchen' connected to shallower reservoirs by large faults," it says, adding that it will propose to its partner to drill the previously defined MOU-4 location later this year to the northeast of MOU-1.
