Shell says restart of its German oil refinery 'ongoing' after outage

LONDON, July 19 (Reuters) -

* Shell is continuing to restart its 140,000 barrel-per-dayWesseling oil refinery in Germany, a spokeswoman said onThursday

* A spokesman told Reuters on Wednesday that normaloperationswere expected within hours after a power cut external to itssite triggered security measures and flaring

* He said different parts of the site would be restarted oneafterthe other, with all operations back to normal by early morningon Thursday

* Refinery monitor Genscape said in a report that all unitswereshut at around 1313 GMT on Wednesday

* Genscape said on Thursday all units remained offline(Reporting by Ahmad Ghaddar; editing by Jason Neely)
