SINGAPORE, Sept 19 (Reuters) - Royal Dutch Shellsaid on Thursday that it has loaded its first cargo oflow-sulphur fuel oil (LSFO) from its Pulau Bukom refining sitein Singapore.
This is the first time Shell has made LSFO from its ownupstream crude, the company said.
The cargo will be blended to a finished product, which Shellwill supply to bunker customers, enabling its customers to beprepared for the implementation of a new sulphur mandate by theInternational Maritime Organisation (IMO) to be implemented fromJanuary, Shell said.(Reporting by Jessica Jaganathan; editing by ChristianSchmollinger)
