Sector movers: Morgan Crucible boosts electrical stocks

Strong gains for Morgan Crucible have helped the electronic and electrical equipment sector higher on Tuesday.The industrial carbon and ceramic products manufacturer posted a better than expected performance in the first four months of the year and is confident of being modestly ahead of expectations at the half year. The group said the full year outlook also remains positive as it experiences good trading momentum across its end markets and geographies. Meanwhile, the mobile telecommunications sector is the only sector in the red today, as blue chip Vodafone provides a drag.
