LONDON (Alliance News) - Scisys PLC on Thursday said it has made an encouraging start to 2016 and is trading in line with full-year market expectations.
Scisys, which makes software for the space, defence, government and media sectors, said order intake and contract performance is in line with its expectations so far in 2016.
The Media & Broadcast division has had a strong 2016, winning GBP3.5 million worth of contracts, while the Space unit has secured GBP3.2 million in new work, mainly from existing programmes.
The group's order book at the end of the first quarter of 2016 was GBP35.5 million, up 21% year-on-year.
Based on its performance so far, Scisys said it is confident it will meet market expectations for the full year.
Shares in Scisys were up 4.2% to 75.00 pence early Thursday.
