S.African lender Investec posts 9.1% rise in full-year profit

JOHANNESBURG, May 23 (Reuters) - South African lender Investec on Thursday reported full-year profit up 9.1%, buoyed by growth in lending books and higher average interest rates.

The bank, which also operates in the UK , reported headline earnings per share of 72.9 pence for the year to March 31 from 66.8 pence and a final dividend of 19 pence per share. (Reporting by Nqobile Dludla; editing by Christina Fincher)
