(Alliance News) - Resolute Mining Ltd on Thursday hailed exploration results from the Syama gold mine in Mali.
The exploration programme identified "a new zone of shallow oxide gold mineralisation" at the project's Tabakoroni deposit.
Resolute said: "These positive results provide encouragement for the potential to expand oxide resources in locations with existing haul road infrastructure which will enable extensions to existing oxide mining at Syama.
"Drilling programs are continuing at both Syama North and at Tabakoroni and have been unaffected by Resolute's companywide comprehensive response to the Covid-19 pandemic."
Resolute shares closed 2.0% lower at 48.00 pence each in London on Friday.
