QinetiQ hires United Utilities CEO Mogford as non-executive director

(Alliance News) - QinetiQ Group PLC on Wednesday said it has hired United Utilities Group PLC Chief Executive Officer Steve Mogford as a new non-executive director, effective on August 1 this year.

Steve Mogford was appointed as boss of the UK's largest listed water and wastewater services company in March 2011.

QinetiQ is a science and engineering company operating primarily in the defence, security and critical infrastructure markets.

Chair Neil Johnson said: "I am delighted that Steve Mogford will be joining the QinetiQ board. He brings a wealth of experience in both executive and non-executive roles from a breadth of sectors. In particular his long and comprehensive international defence and security sector experience equip him ideally to further develop the skill sets of our Board while supporting our global development ambitions."

QinetiQ shares were up 1.9% at 367.60 pence each on Wednesday morning in London.
