Providence Resources Chair James Menton steps down after just one year

Thu, 25th Aug 2022 14:22

(Alliance News) - Providence Resources PLC on Thursday said Chair James Menton plans to step down in the next ninety days.

Menton joined the Dublin, Ireland-based energy company as a senior independent non-executive director in May last year. Just months later, in July 2021, he was promoted to chair.

Providence will now commence the search for Menton's successor.

"Menton has informed the board that his decision is for personal reasons and also has regard for his other ongoing professional commitments, which predated his appointment as a Providence director in May 2021," the company added.

Shares in Providence were up 0.3% to 3.76 pence each in London on Thursday afternoon.
