LONDON (Dow Jones)--Proton Power Systems PLC (PPS.LN), a designer, developer and producer of fuel cells and fuel cell electric hybrid systems, Monday announces that it has appointed Dr. Christian Meyne to the Board of Directors of the Company, with immediate effect. MAIN FACTS: -Meyne, 43 years of age, has been employed by the Company since April 2009 as Chief Operating Officer of its operating subsidiary Proton Motor Fuel Cell GmbH, the leading independent fuel cell system developer. -Meyne holds options over 300,000 shares in Proton Power. -Shares at 0854 GMT unchanged at 4.0 pence.
