Petrel Resources Appoints Former Project Co-Ordinator As Non-Executive

(Alliance News) - Petrel Resources PLC said Friday it has appointed Riadh Hammed as non-executive director with immediate effect.

The oil & gas firm said Hameed has "over a decade" of experience in working in the oil & gas sector, and had once worked as a co-ordinator for Petrel's projects in Iraq.

"I am delighted to welcome Riadh to the Board of Petrel Resources, and look forward to working with him again, and to renew our connections on the ground in Iraq," said Managing Director Dacid Horgan.

Shares in Petrel Resources were 15% higher at 1.38 pence on Friday.
