Patagonia Gold to test new high grade discovery

Patagonia Gold is planning to test the down dip extension of the recently discovered zone of high grade mineralisation in the Cap-Oeste South East (COSE) project in Santa Cruz province, Argentina. The most recent drill results from the COSE gold and silver deposit include 2.30 metres at 16.35 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 248.45 g/t silver for 20.99 g/t gold equivalent. The COSE also recently returned a gold equivalent resource of 8.18m tonnes at 2.28g/t gold and 74.71 g/t silver for 966,972 ounces gold equivalent within the indicated category, with a further inferred resource of 2.42m tonnes at 2.01 g/t gold and 49.84 g/t silver for 228,968 ounces gold equivalent. The firm is also planning to evaluate the remaining 1.0km of strike extension between the COSE and Cap-Oeste deposits, an area which the firm said has only been "sparsely tested". To date, around 22.6km has been completed at the project and the area directly surrounding the resource.The share price rose 0.47% to 26.50p by 10:44. NR
