NWF Group Buys Ruminant Feed Manufacturer Jim Peet

Tue, 01st Mar 2016 09:26

LONDON (Alliance News) - Agricultural and distribution company NWF Group PLC on Tuesday said it has acquired ruminant feed manufacturer Jim Peet (Agriculture) Ltd for an undisclosed amount.

NWF said Jim Peet supplies more than 50,000 tonnes of compounds and blends to dairy, beef and sheep farmers in the north of England and south west Scotland.

The group will boost NWF feed production business and will complement its existing geographic presence in the Midlands and south west of England.

"The acquisition of Jim Peet further improves our UK Feeds market share and provides a strategic manufacturing site in the North to support our development plans in Scotland and the North of England," said NWF Chief Executive Richard Whiting.

NWF shares were up 5.0% to 183.29 pence.
