Nanoco Believes 2016 Will Be A "Landmark Year" In Its Development

Thu, 10th Dec 2015 08:28

LONDON (Alliance News) - Quantum dot and other nanomaterials manufacturer Nanoco Group PLC said Thursday that it believes 2016 will be a "landmark year" in its development.

In a statement ahead of the company's annual general meeting Nanoco said that the transfer of the production of cadmium free quantum dots in South Korea is being accelerated, and it now expects its plan to be ready to support material to meet potential customer's commercial requirements in the first quarter of 2016.

Elsewhere, Nanoco's lighting division which was formed earlier in 2015, is making "significant progress", including recently launching four LED-based product groups at the LuxLive trade show in London.

"Nanoco continues to benefit from a strong balance sheet to support the commercialisation of its technology, continued product development and research. We believe that 2016 will be a landmark year in the company's development," said Chairman Anthony Clinch in the statement.

Shares in Nanoco were up 12% at 45.75 pence Thursday morning, the best performer in the FTSE All-Share.
