Molins Tells Shareholder Meeting 2015 Expectations Are Unchanged

Fri, 24th Apr 2015 11:10

LONDON (Alliance News) - Engineering and services firm Molins PLC said Friday its expectations for 2015 are unchanged.

In a statement ahead of its annual general meeting, the machinery company said its Tobacco Machinery division's performance to date is in line with the previous year, and trading at its Scientific Services division is more challenging than it expected due to the strength of sterling against the euro and the challenging tobacco sector.

Trading in its Packing Machinery division is ahead of 2014.

Molins continues to expect to complete a strategic review of its analytical services laboratory operations in the first half of 2015.

At the time of its 2014 results in February, the company said that it expects to see a significant weighting of performance towards its second half.

Shares in Molins are trading down 1.1% at 78.15 pence Friday afternoon.
