LONDON (Alliance News) - Metals Exploration PLC on Monday said Typhoon Koppu caused no structural damage to its Runruno project processing plant in the Philippines.
The natural resources exploration and development company said the Typhoon did not cause structural damage at the project and said it has started a clean-up of debris and is undertaking repairs to water-damaged roads and infrastructure, including drainage.
It expects to return to normal operations within two weeks.
Koppu hit the northern Philippines over the weekend, killing 14 people and forcing thousands to flee their homes. Troops were deployed to the country to help residents, as heavy rains and flooding hit dozens of villages in the area.
Shares in Metals Exploration were untraded on Monday, having last traded at 3.38 pence.
