(Alliance News) - Likewise Group PLC on Wednesday said 2024 has started well, as it continued to invest, citing opportunities ahead.
The Birmingham, England-based domestic and commercial floor coverings distributor says sales revenue to the end of February was GBP22.8 million, up 12% compared to a year prior.
Average daily sales were up 6.5%, while sales in Likewise Branded businesses were up 20% to GBP15.4 million, with average daily sales up 15%.
Likewise said that the positive start to the year created "significant momentum" in the traditionally busy spring trading period with launches in key products such as Carpet and Laminate.
Chief Executive Officer Tony Brewer said: "A good start to the year with many opportunities before us. The ongoing investment in sales teams, product and point of sale displays will continue to increase our market share. The logistics infrastructure the group has created over the last 3 years is now very well positioned to process and deliver the increasing demand."
Likewise shares were up 4.8% to 19.39 pence each on Wednesday afternoon in London.
