Kropz shares rise as Elandsfontein mine hits record output

(Alliance News) - Kropz PLC shares rose on Monday after reporting a record production month and stronger quarterly output at its Elandsfontein mine in South Africa.

Shares in the Africa-focused phosphate producer and developer jumped 27% to 1.65 pence in London on Monday afternoon.

Kropz said Elandsfontein delivered a record monthly output of 40,792 tonnes of phosphate concentrate in March, surpassing the previous high of 34,070 tonnes recorded in September 2025. The company noted that four additional production records have been achieved over the past six months.

For the fourth quarter to March 31, production rose 11% to 115,686 tonnes, while sales totalled 104,900 tonnes.

The mine remains in its trial production phase.

Elsewhere, Kropz said its Hinda project has made progress following a review of alternative production scenarios. The company said optimisation work has significantly reduced water-related risks, which had previously been a challenge, improving the project's feasibility and profitability outlook.
