Kazakhstan says aims to "peacefully resolve" Karachaganak dispute

ASTANA, April 7 (Reuters) - Kazakhstan and global oil majorsdeveloping Karachaganak gas condensate field aim to "peacefullyresolve" their dispute on calculations related to productionsharing agreement, Kazakhstan's Energy Ministry said onThursday.

Russia's Lukoil, a consortium member, said thisweek that Kazakhstan has filed a $1.6 billion claim against thegroup led by BG Group Plc and Eni SpA. (Reporting by Raushan Nurshayeva; Writing by Olzhas Auyezov;editing by Katya Golubkova)
