ITV CEO sells 2.3m shares post exercise

ITV's Chief Executive, Adam Crozier, has exercised options over 3.6m shares and subsequently sold 2.3m of them, it was announced Tuesday. Crozier, whose total holding now stands at just under 1.56m shares, disposed of the shares at 127.1p each, pocketing a total of £3.0m. One week ago ITV acquired The Garden, an independent production company which has produced programmes such as 24 Hours in A&E and Inside Claridge's, for an initial £18m. Shares in ITV have rocketed 50% over the past year, boosted by strong profit and revenue growth as the company successfully positions itself to meet the demands of changing consumer behaviour, such as mobile viewing. Total revenues for 2012 climbed 5.0% year-on-year to £2.5bn, fuelled by a strong performance in ITV Studios and the Online, Pay and Interactive business.
