LONDON (Alliance News) - IronRidge Resources Ltd said Monday it has started drilling at its Ewoyaa lithium pegmatite project in Ghana.
About 7,000 metres of reverse circulation diamond drilling has been planned over two phases at the project with a total of 60 holes to an average of about 130 metres. Drilling will begin in the central pegmatite zone and then move from the southernmost planned holes to the north.
The second phase will involve "stepping back" and intersecting the pegmatite at greater depth along the first phase to confirm mineralisation continuity at depth.
CEO Vincent Mascolo said: "We are pleased to report that drilling has commenced at Ewoyaa, one of our multiple lithium pegmatite targets identified in Ghana.
"With this drilling programme we will test the width, grade, depth and strike continuity of the deposit.
"We have appointed Geodrill to complete the maiden, phased 7,000 metres reverse circulation diamond drilling programme; Geodrill has an excellent track record with extensive experience in Ghana and West Africa.
"We look forward to keeping shareholders up to date as results become available."
IronRidge shares were down 4.9% at 31.40 pence Monday afternoon.
