Intertek names Andrew Martin as chairman-designate

(Sharecast News) - Quality assurance provider Intertek named current Hays chair Andrew Martin as the group's chairman-designate on Friday.
Intertek said Martin, who joined the Intertek board back in May 2016, will succeed incumbent chairman David Reid on 1 January.

Chief executive André Lacroix said: "I would like to thank David for the significant contribution he has made to Intertek's development and growth during his tenure with our board.

"I am looking forward to working with Andy and Jean-Michel in their new roles, together with our non-executive director colleagues, to support the quality, safety and sustainability agenda of our clients with our Total Quality Assurance industry-leading solutions."

As of 0830 GMT, Intertek shares were up 0.034% at 5,806.0p.
