Tue, 28th Jun 2016 07:18

LONDON (Alliance News) - Interserve PLC on Tuesday said it has signed a facilities management services contract with commercial and residential property services company JLL worth GBP60.0 million over its initial three year term.

The support services and construction group said, under the contract, it will provide facilities services at 18 shopping centres managed by JLL across the UK, as well as standalone cleaning services for a number of JLL's offices across central London. The cleaning services to the offices are worth GBP9.5 million per year, Interserve said.

The company added that there is the potential for a two-year extension of the contract.

"We have a proven track record of delivering exceptional standards of service at the shopping centres and offices where we work - and doing so cost-effectively, thanks to our LEAN approach and our integration expertise," said Chief Executive Adrian Ringrose.

"We have a strong relationship with JLL having provided a range of facilities management solutions to them for many years. We look forward to helping JLL create the best possible experience for visitors and employees at their nationwide shopping centres and workplaces across the capital," Ringrose added.

Shares in Interserve were up 3.8% at 274.75 pence on Tuesday.
